And it was one to remember as Miles Barnard's 54 and 4-13 from South Launceston's James Beattie's helped see off a powerful South Hobart Sandy Bay side with a handful of players boasting state credentials.
"A lot of hard work has gone into the last six months and we're rapt to get that result," Gower said.
"We had been disappointed that we had not built on last year and achieved more but this gives guys belief going into the new year.

"It's the first time we've put a complete game together which is so pleasing.
"Obviously you play to win and we knew it would be tough but afterwards the room was ecstatic and we sung the song loud."
Anish Paraam (23) provided good support for his Devonport teammate Barnard as Raiders posted 7-132 in the Cricket Tasmania Premier League fixture.
"We batted really well early doors and made a good foundation which set the standard for the day and everyone chipped in," Gower said.
"I actually thought 130 was a bit below par. I thought 150 would have been better so we were a bit short but then our bowlers were outstanding.
"James [Beattie] and Sam [O'Mahony] (2-23) kept it tight so after four overs they only had 16 or 17 which got them behind the run rate and put the pressure on.
"Jake Dixon (1-14 off three) at 16 was sensational, Ollie Wood bowled well but so did everyone. We executed really well."
Paraam chipped in with 2-17 and Barnard claimed a couple of catches as the Sharks were caught in the Raiders' net, 23 runs short with one wicket left when they reached 20 overs.
"There would have been a number of guys that had not won before so it was exciting for them," Gower added.
Praising the gala day concept and excellent support, Gower said a lack of breaks meant several players were involved in three games across the day and barely had time to enjoy the team song before they were back out in the field.
