While he is confirmed as the eldest member running once again, the 41-year-old will face stiff competition in defending his title on Sunday around City Park.
Perennial Launceston athlete, Dave Thomas, takes up the role of back-marker in the handicap race while Zegveld's closest rivals from last year's installment, Sam Talbot and Josh Harris, sit either side of him at one and three-minute intervals.

"Last year I was just hanging on with Sam Talbot and then Josh came and overtook us," Zegveld said.
"I was trying to hang on his tail and he got away from us a little bit, but I just got him up the hill.
"It's good to run against the good opposition and there's a good crowd there - it's good to be invited again."
Run in scorching conditions last year, the weather looks promising for the 2:05pm event, which promises another tight finish courtesy of David Rae and Craig Boon's handicapping.
"Handicapping was really really good last year - in the field of 15, 12 of them were on the finishing straight. They might peg me a few for a bit of time, they might try their hardest to make me not win again maybe."
