But he believes he will have a bit more clarity in where they sit in the grand scheme of things come Sunday evening.
The Raiders, who sit second on the table after a 3-1 start, face another Southern double-header against fellow newcomers Brighton and then South Hobart/Sandy Bay at Ferguson Park.
That second clash, he said, would tell him a lot about his side.
"That will be a test as they are a very strong team (which sits in fourth spot) and will be a good game, while Brighton are an unknown quantity being their first year in," he said.
"We will have a better idea where we sit after this weekend.
"I did predict our strength would be our depth, and I think that prediction that we would be competitive has been borne out in the first four games.
"Obviously it is still very early in the competition and we have got some of the tougher teams to go, but the thing that has really impressed me is how the girls have gelled together, as sometimes it can be really tough to when you have two squads that don't really train together to turn up and all be on the same page, but I have been really happy with how the girls have embraced that."
Rhianne Hack will return this week, who Stewart said would "add to our batting and bowling depth", with Alice McLauchlan missing out.
