Only two outright losses last season in the two-day game stand higher than the 216-run loss to Lindisfarne in terms of margins.
It was also Lindisfarne whose nine-wicket win back in February inflicted the heaviest defeat on the short history of the Raiders.
Raiders coach Andrew Gower suspected it was going to be another tough day out in the middle at Lindisfarne Oval.
"We came up against a lot of contracted players that play for these guys," Gower said.
"We know what the standard is and while we're disappointed, we'll regroup because we know we've done hard yards in preseason."
The Lightning just proved a class above the Raiders from the outset when fringe Shield batsman Charlie Wakim and Mac Wright put on 104 for the opening wicket inside 18 overs.
The returning Anish Paraam (2-53) caught Wright out for 52 off 56 balls including seven fours and two sixes before state under-19 star Keegan Oates put on 106 more with Wakim.

Oates was dismissed for 50 off 59 balls, but the heartache continued for the Raiders.
Wakim, who made the first of four Tigers' appearances in February, belted 14 fours and five sixes for a merciless 165 off 150 balls.
"They can take the play from you very quickly - they back themselves to get it over cover and mid off on a really good wicket, and it was a really fast outfield," Gower said.
"Our line and lengths weren't too bad. They're taking eight an over early doors, apart from [James] Beattie; it's hard to come back."
The run chase for 308 was as good as dead by the sixth over at 4-13 after Paraam unluckily was run out and Alistair Taylor smoked a drive straight back to seamer Anthony Marr.
Lachie Newland (23) kept calm in a 34-run stand for the fifth wicket with Rhys French (15), but the visitors were all out for 91.
"We went out with a really positive intent to stay ahead of the run rate," Gower said.
"We were just outclassed by a better outfit."
