The home side were left floundering at 3-1 as opening bowlers Louis Smith and Connor Downham put the clamps on the Force before Aidan O'Connor (14) and Thomas Beaumont (10) combined for a 31-run stand before O'Connor departed.
The Riverside all-rounder would register the highest score as his side was bowled out for 66 with team-mate Kaidyn Apted grinding out 13 off 47 balls batting at number nine.
O'Connor then gave the North their best chance at a surprise victory, claiming 4-16 off his eight overs but the task was too much as the Southern batters banded together to get over the line five wickets down.
Josh Brazendale scored 15 with Smith and Will Clifford compiling 12 apiece as Beaumont picked up the other wicket and James Leake remained tidy, going for six runs off his five overs.
