Australian Bauxite Limited booked $2.08 million in revenue for the half, mostly from sales.
That was a big jump from just $95,000 in revenue for the corresponding period a year earlier.
However, $3.62 million in development, exploration and administrative expenses outweighed the revenue.
The half-year included a shipment of 32,477 tonnes of cement grade bauxite from Bell Bay in June and continuing sales of fertiliser-grade bauxite.
Superphosphate fertiliser made by acid processing bauxite mined at Bald Hill near Campbell Town was gaining strong sales.
Meanwhile, subsidiary ALCORE Limited funded development of a pilot plant in New South Wales to produce aluminium fluoride and co-products using a new Australian technology.
Australian Bauxite said ALCORE would prepare large samples of aluminium fluoride for product testing by potential customers in the second half of 2019.
ALCORE would be the first Australian supplier of aluminium fluoride to Australian aluminium smelters and for export.
Australian Bauxite expected to decide in late 2019 whether to proceed to mine development at its Binjour Project in Queensland.
