Gaetani said season-ending fixtures against Olympia and Hobart Zebras gave his players two more chances to show how far they've come in their maiden NPL Tasmania campaign.

"We did ok," Gaetani said.

"We've played three games in the week - two against Devonport and now to travel on Sunday to South Hobart, I just felt we were tired by the end of it.

"We started making mistakes, conceded some goals when we made those mistakes and I think South, they deserve their victory.

"We competed quite well against them and played some good football in patches so I'm not too displeased, I think it's just a sign of the age of our group and our experience - we'll get used to having to back up against good teams."

Both Riverside and Launceston City play their final home matches for the season next Saturday.

City remain just one point shy of Kingborough in sixth, with Glenorchy a further three points clear in fifth spot.
