A year after opting to drop down from the statewide league, Rangers took the men's title off Olympic.
Just a couple of hours earlier the Roos' had done the opposite by claiming their first women's title 41 years after first fielding a side.
The results completed a Launceston quadruple of the regional titles after City had won the under-18s competition and United the reserves.
The men's title was sealed in unorthodox fashion through a late double direct from corner kicks by Joe McCormack.
Rangers' opener came from the more traditional route of English striker Rob Gerrard. After a Riley Wakeford thunderbolt levelled the scores, McCormack's precision set-pieces wrapped up a 3-1 win.
Rangers coach Rod Fulton described his emotions as "a combination of relief and ecstasy".
"It's been a long season and we worked hard for it. I knew Riverside would not want to give it to us, they made us work and I respect that.
"I'm glad that we won it by having to work that hard. That makes it special."
Launceston United confirmed third spot with a 4-0 win at Ulverstone, courtesy of goals from brothers Yasin and Yousef Mohammadi, Fahim Moradi and Sam Lowe.
"Overall it's been a successful season because we were bottom last year," said United coach Glenn Reading.
After two years finishing second to Rangers, Olympic savoured a women's Northern Championship title.
A gutsy 1-0 win saw Chelsea Wing bag the only goal after a Meg Connolly penalty had been saved while Nicole Patrick filled in between the sticks after keeper Holly Taylor suffered a severe head wound.
Captain Nichola James was presented with the trophy before leading the team in their victory club song.
Coach Lynden Prince was delighted to seal back-to-back titles after guiding the men to last year's crown.
"It's a super feeling getting the girls to the same level after two years of just missing out," he said.
"They were so desperate for it after two years of finishing runner-up and eager to take the next step up."
In the NPL Tasmania, a hat-trick to Noah Mies eased Launceston City to a 4-1 win at Clarence.
The free-scoring forward opened his account in the ninth minute before bagging two more midway through the second half, including one from the penalty spot.
Jackson Ebini pulled one back for the hosts with 20 minutes remaining but Martin Mitreski confirmed City's third four-goal haul against Clarence this season.
Goals from Jade Clay and Nick Naden gave Glenorchy a 2-1 win over Hobart Zebras, who replied through Dwayne Walsh.
Olympia beat Kingborough 3-0 with goals from Jack Ryan, Bay Kurtz and Jake Thompson.
Riverside play at South Hobart at 2.30pm on Sunday.
