Under the guidance of Bec Jones, Stompin youth dance school is choreographing a performance to take over Princes Square as part of the organisation's Youth Choreography Project.
Nine junior choreographers are working on Distinctly Luminous, with 18 performers involved in the dance.
Sage Price is one of the choreographers and said light would be a massive part of the performance.
"Distinctly Luminous has a lot of elements of lighting in it, as an overarching concept, that we are using for movement," she said.
Those involved in the performance are aged between 12 and 26.

The aim of the SYCP is to allow the dancers to be mentored in choreographic process and what it means, Stompin artistic director Gabe Comerford said.
"The Junction audience is a really supportive audience and environment to be able to test some of their artistic voices," he said.
Junction starts on September 4 and finishes on the 8th.
