The conditions along the Overland Track haven't been experienced like this for at least 20 years. Even the helicopter was having trouble battling the winds - something experienced policeman Darren Hopkins said he had rarely experienced.
The scenes were truly remarkable. It was also great to hear how prepared the bushwalkers were for that time of the year.
While those rescued had already entered by the time the heavy snow arrived, they were ready to tough it out.
But as we know, nature doesn't always cooperate.
Another lucky survivor was Ralphie. The Launceston search and rescue team brought a family back together when Ralphie the dog ventured too far over a cliff - chasing a kangaroo, of course!
We think this photo sums up the experience quite nicely. We're glad you're safe, Ralphie.
Ticket giveaway to We Will Rock You
Every Encore Theatre Company performance I have in my diary for months in advance.
But We Will Rock You I'm secretly looking forward to the most. A Crazy Little Thing Called Love was our first dance at our wedding nearly eight years ago.
If you don't win one of these five double passes, I would urge you to go and buy yourself a ticket. You will have no regrets.

Until next week,
