Two years after being named United's best and fairest before heading to Riverside to win a Northern Championship title, Rodman is back in blue and white and proving his value.
Rodman and Fletcher Fulton had the visitors 2-0 up after 15 minutes but two goals in six minutes midway through the second half from Daniel Shaw's volley and Mitch Roberts' cool sidefoot hauled the hosts level.
The sending off of Olympic's Tom Prince proved pivotal as Rodman produced two tidy late finishes to seal the points.
United coach Glenn Reading was delighted to win with usual goal threats Fahim Moradi having an NPL Victoria trial and Yasin Mohammadi at a futsal competition.
"It just shows we've got depth," he said.
"Will was outstanding. He's just so versatile."
Olympic coach Andy Hall responded: "It's been a frustrating month. We're good enough to win matches, we're just not putting together a full 90 minutes.
"It was a fantastic second half but the first 20 minutes we were asleep."
Northern Rangers extended their lead at the top of the ladder with a 6-0 defeat of Launceston City at the NTCA Ground.
Rod Gerrard hit a hat-trick, Wes Chugg a brace and Bryley Jordan one in a game that Rangers coach Rod Fulton said could have been twice as many.
