More than 50 key stakeholders from across the health sector attended last week's access solutions meeting in Hobart, co-hosted by Health Minister Michael Ferguson and the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine.
The meeting was largely focused on the need for leadership and cultural improvements within the health system.
The state government and ACEM agreed to finalise an action plan in the days after the meeting, for how agreed solutions would be actioned.
This included a zero tolerance for 24-hour stays in the emergency department and putting in an appropriate system to eliminate ambulance ramping, as soon as possible.
A government spokesman said the plan would be released this week.
