The two-day spectacular will include three of the Olympic disciplines including men's and women's artistic gymnastics, as well as trampoline gymnastics.
It will be the final trial event for the Tasmanian team which will travel to Melbourne to contest the Australian championships from May 20 and will also form part of the selection for the world age championships being held in Tokyo later this year.
In the trampoline gymnastics, notable performances are expected from the Kingborough team including Amber French in the under-17 women's competition and Matthew French, Patrick Schluter and Eddy Rand in the men's under-22s.
Veteran Damien Axelsen will be one to watch in the senior men's double-mini as he gears up for another competitive year leading into the world championships.
Callum O'Sullivan, of Eastside Gymnastics Academy, will be looking for a podium finish in the under-17 men's, while Launceston's Nathaniel Suidgeest will be applying pressure in the under-22 division.
In the power tumbling competition, Jacob Smith is expecting to turn heads with his speed and power, along with newcomers to the international scene Freya Pennington and Maia Johnson in the junior divisions and Daisy Tunstall and Wing Wai Brown in the youth.
State coach Ben Kelly said the team, which competed in the first trial in Sydney last weekend, showed some impressive performances with Amber French dominating both her events.
Murden and Rand won gold in the under-17 and under-22 double-mini events respectively, with Matthew French and Schluter picking up a silver and bronze in the under-22 men's individual trampoline.
Kelly expects some high level performances at this event in a bid to secure positions.
In the women's gymnastics competition, Burnie's Grace Gaby and Kingborough's Raph Coreny will go head to head in the level 10 competition with Gaby hoping to impress after narrowly missing the title in 2018.
In the level 8 competition, Kingborough and Hobart PCYC will fight it out for the overall team award.
In the men's gymnastics, 11 competitors will be vying for state titles. In the level 7 open division, seven gymnasts will be battling it out for six Tasmanian team positions.
Jaellem Loveless is expected to impress selectors having won the previous trial in March.
In the under-13 division, up and coming gymnast, Harry Davies will be aiming for a personal best score while Harry Driessen, Alex Thompson and Ethan Loring will be competing for the level 8 open title.
The premium session of the championships will showcase the world age championship trial for the trampoline gymnasts, along with the state gymnastics team trial.
The competition will begin at 1pm at Kingborough Sports Centre. Spectators are welcome.
