More than just an agricultural show, this is an event that brings the whole of Tasmania together in a celebration of its rural lifeblood.
It's also a place to shop, indulge in some of Tassie's legendary food and have plenty of fun.
In other words: you'd be crazy to miss it.
Held over the first weekend in May, and attracting over 60,000 people each year, Agfest is the second biggest agricultural field day in Australia,
And this year's attendees are set to be rewarded with over 700 exhibitors displaying everything from new cars and cutting-edge farm equipment to handmade chocolates and garden bulbs ready to plant.
Run by Rural Youth Tasmania, a non-profit organisation for member aged 15-30 years, Agfest has grown from a tiny agricultural field day in 1983 to one of Tasmania's premier events.
Don't miss the working displays of Tasmania's pioneering agricultural industry including working blacksmiths, draught horse displays, steam engines and tractors.
