However, the Break O’Day Council hoped construction would begin by the end of April.
Construction on the Poimena to Bay of Fires MTB trail began before Christmas, and the council said it was “well and truly underway”.

Three teams from World Trail were working on Poimena to Bay of Fires, and the company anticipated the trail would take between eight and 12 months to complete.
The St Helens Stacked Loop Network will feature a recreation area at the trailhead, with the aim to host events there in the future. There would also be a shuttle drop off and pick up area, and short-term parking.
Construction on the trail was expected to take between 12 and 18 months to complete.
