Motion to withdraw Australia Day support defeated after tied vote at Launceston council, but Aboriginal community remains hopeful

A VOTE to withdraw support for Australia Day ceremonies and events on January 26 was narrowly defeated by the City of Launceston following a tied vote among councillors on Thursday.
