Tasmania’s junior team continued to play competitively over this weekend’s matches.
Tasmania defeated ACT 16-10 with a solid performance from under 15 Mitchell Shadbolt winning two of three encounters.
After a close start in the singles, South Australia proved too much for Tasmania winning 19-7.
Sunday’s matches saw Queensland’s dominance continue in both groupings.
Queensland’s junior team dominated the typically tough Western Australia team 23-3, followed by a convincing win over South Australia [17-9].
A particularly strong performance was given by Queenslander under 15 Jayden Dinga, who went undefeated on the day in both groupings.
Queensland continued to play well against the Northern Territory in the singles, cruising to a 20-6 victory.
Despite falling to Queensland in one game, the South Australian team defeated Victoria 15-11 with an impressive performance from the teams girls singles who won all of their matches.
Victoria did manage to redeem themselves on the day, with an impressive win over the struggling ACT squad [22-3].
Victoria also defeated Western Australia 21-5 in the singles thanks to a sweep of the under 15s by trio of Toby Clack, Zac Henning and Sean Dempsey.
