Both players won the perpetual Wayne Westlake Memorial Trophy as most valuable player of the final.
Powell’s pitching was on target over the championship games and in the grand final against Ulverstone he racked up 11 K2s for the seven innings, ably assisted by catcher Matt Allen.
Cobern, who played first base, began with a home run over the fence in centre outfield, batted solidly throughout and contributed four catches and several RBIs.
Third baseman Matt Tatnell retired several players with one from a fielded ball thrown while on his knees to Cobern.
Short stop Steve Tregurthta was sharp and supported in the field by Sean Roddick, Connor Barron, Bradley Bell and Luke Davidson.
First-year players Caellan Beeton and Paul Stotenberg helped the NTSA with game wins.
This weekend an NTSA mixed team will compete in an under-13 carnival. Host city Hobart has two teams entered with Ulverstone and Launceston one each.
A round of games will be played during the day followed by presentations.
