The Christmas parade has been putting smiles on the faces of people in Launceston for the past 30 years that it has been running.
The parade takes place on November 24 at 11am on the corner of The Esplanade and St John Street.
Various community groups, charities and schools will display festive costumes and floats at the parade.
All together there are 41 entrants participating in the parade, including the City Park train, LAFM/Chilli FM, Girl Guides and Inside Out 4 Kids.
There is rumoured to also be an appearance by Santa Claus.

Community spirit is what enabled the parade to be held at all, with various businesses from the local area such as Buckby Motors and Woolworths contributing to the funding of this event.
In May, the committee revealed an extra $2200 was needed to secure the Christmas Parade for 2018, after it received only a portion of that funding from the City of Launceston council.
Importantly, the money raised by float entry fees go towards a good cause; this year’s charity, Launceston Feeding the Homeless.
