Dannie Carstens stands down as opens coach to focus on a new role as club coach.
The 33-year-old netball stalwart will also take charge of the 19-and-under side.
Cavs assistant coach Dan Roden has replaced Carstens.
Anita Batty, who has been shaping the 14-and-under development squad, is set to take on Roden’s former position next year and Jamie Easther will assist Carstens.
Carstens first started as player-coach in 2012-13 and again in 2015 before stepping off the court to focus just on leading the Cavs from sidelines for the past three years.
Carstens said she wanted to concentrate on coaching development of all players that will include the Cavaliers development academy.
“It’s imperative for me to continue to put as much energy and drive into developing, not only the athletes that are involved in the Cavaliers, but into the development of our coaches,” Carstens said.
Roden, who was named state 19-and-under assistant coach, has outlined his plans to hold up a legacy of 17 titles in 23 years for open and 19-and-under Cavs teams.
“No other club matches this record, but we can’t rest on our laurels,” Roden said.
“While our 19-and-under team were premiers in 2018, it’s been a few years since our open team took out the prize.
“So our focus is on what we need to do to achieve our goals, and support our players and officials to realise the success we have come to expect as a club.”
