Tasmania dominated throughout the entire game, leading the scoreboard at every change after jumping out of the blocks with a commanding 35-point lead after the opening term.
In a terrific team performance, Launceston pair Jackson Callow and Will Harper kicked four goals each while North Hobart’s Jye Menzie (three goals) added to the damage on the scoreboard.
Meanwhile, North-West pair Liam Flanigan and Jonty McIvor, both 15, are the Tasmanian representatives in the Flying Boomerangs team for which Launceston’s Rulla Kelly-Mansell is as an assistant coach this week.
The Boomerangs and World Team squads are playing two exhibition matches at the AFL under-16 championships on the Gold Coast.
Launceston’s Jimmy Aganas is assisting the World Team preparations.
