Hard work goes a long way.
The St Helens History Room and Visitor Information Centre have been awarded a Certificate of Excellence from travel website TripAdvisor due to its consistently great reviews.
According to TripAdvisor “only select businesses” who have received praise and recognition by TripAdvisor reviewers receive the certificate. Recipients are notified each year in late May.
The history room features a snapshot into the history of the region, such as Indigenous heritage, maritime history, and pioneers of the East Coast.
At Break O’Day Council’s June meeting, corporate services manager Bob Hoogland said the centre receives “very positive feedback” and was recently acknowledged with the certificate.
Mayor Mick Tucker said the town had “very unique” resource in the history room and visitor centre.
Councillor Barry LeFevre commended Mr Hoogland and the centre’s volunteers for their hard work.
