The struggling club has failed to attract and retain numbers in recent seasons.
TRU president Michael Ryan has insisted that debts racked up was not the reason behind the Bees being left out of this season’s fixture.
“We are working really quite hard with them about how the club sorts out its management structure and its governance,” Ryan said.
“We’re giving them a bit of relief in a sense that the TRU will support you as much as possible. But you’ve got to get your own house in order.”
Ryan said the TRU has decided against “foreclosing” on the club for owed monies.
Instead Newnham-based Maritime College rivals will affiliate two teams that clears the way to include additional ex-Launceston players.
“Any players that were registered at Launceston we’re saying go and have a run with AMC at this stage,” Ryan said, “because we’re trying to have a first and second division.”
