There will be a new name added to main event’s shield as defending two-time winner Tate Frost has moved into the seniors class.
Hobart’s Fletcher Bellars and Callum Bishop along with Devonport’s Ethan Wyllie will be hard to beat, but Launceston members Jake Delphin, William Blair, Tyson Phegan and newcomer Harrison Sellars will push them all the way.
The 20-lap final will start about 7pm.
The younger classes of cadet 9 and cadet 12 will also do battle for the Wyllie Family Shield with Launceston’s Toby Callow going for three-straight titles.
Also on the program will be KZ shifter karts, TaG open and restricted along with KA3 and KA4.
Racing begins at noon and with finals to be run in the twilight. It will be the Launceston Kart Club’s first meeting of the year.
