A mass exodus of personnel during the off-season has largely impacted on the side’s six straight losses to start their WBBL|03 campaign.
But the zippy Launceston 27-year-old still remains optimistic the Hurricanes can turn it around against Brisbane Heat at Bellerive Oval.
“We have gone over the past six games and looked as a whole at what we have done well and the areas we can improve on,” Hepburn said.
“We’ve gone over our plans and I think we match up really well against the Heat.”
The home side has failed three times to pass three figures and just once past 120.
Hepburn said those issues have been addressed for the remaining eight fixtures.
“We’ve been a little lean so far. It’s about building partnerships that hold us in good stead and gives us a good score to defend,” she said.
“Our discussions have been quite in depth, looking at what we have done well and the things we need to improve on. We want to try and get off to a good start.”
Hepburn added that “positivity” still remains in the playing group heading in for the remaining eight fixtures.
“When you’re losing it’s easy to be reserved and not bring that positivity. We’ve all tried to bring that and stay motivated,” she said.
Hepburn is keen to play a crucial role with the ball for the struggling Tasmanians.
“My role is to keep it tight and get wickets where I can. My consistency just hasn’t been there … so for me, it’s about going in with a confident plan and executing it.”
