Tasmanian duo Gabe Bell and Jake Doran will come up against England next week as the visitors finalise their preparations for the one-day series against Australia.

Batsman-keeper Doran and paceman Bell were on Thursday picked in a CA XI squad that will face England at at Drummoyne Oval in Sydney on Thursday.
Doran and Bell were two of Tasmania’s finest in the Sheffield Shield before the BBL break, with Doran scoring 305 runs at 38.95 and Bell taking 18 wickets at 21.66.
They have already faced England in tour matches earlier this summer for the CA XI during the Ashes series.
Former Test batsman Matt Renshaw will be captain, with South Australian paceman Chadd Sayers.
Brad Haddin will coach the side with Glenn McGrath his assistant.
“We’ve tried to get the most competitive team possible, bearing in mind Australian and BBL commitments,” National selector and national talent manager Greg Chappell said.
“This is a quality opportunity for all players involved, and hopefully this side will give England a good test ahead of the series against Australia.” Australia’s five-match series against England will start in Melbourne on Sunday, January 14.
