The five-foot-six guard racked up her third 20-point game of the season in the 74-72 loss, which included an impressive five three-pointers from eight attempts.
She also collected four rebounds, three assists and one steal to be one of her side’s best on the night.
The performance continued the former TIS scholarship holder’s recent spell of hot form, which started off with a 19-point game in the Aggies’ 76-69 win over Brigham Young University and a 16-point effort in a loss to Utah Valley.
West’s exploits were enough to see her named Utah State’s athlete of the week – an award voted on by a statewide media panel – for the week ending December 10.
West is the first female basketballer to take out the award this season.
