Cox-Goodyer, 24, pipped coach Tom Couch in the club’s senior best and fairest count to take his season’s tally of honours to four, having already won an Alastair Lynch, Darrel Baldock and premiership medal.
The only major award he missed out on was the media-voted TSL player of the year award, which went to perennial winner Jaye Bowden (Glenorchy).
Cox-Goodyer kicked 35 goals throughout the home and away season as a midfield-forward, and often acting captain, to go with his 8.5 in the Northern Bombers’ 87-point grand final victory over Lauderdale.
Couch took out the leading goal-kicking gong (Jack Hawksley Trophy) with 41 majors in the season proper, while he handed his Coach’s Award (Kevin McLean Trophy) to unheralded forward Tom Bennett.
Best team man (Patrons Trophy) was awarded to utility Jake Pearce, midfielder Josh Ponting was adjudged North’s most consistent performer (Jamie Dennis Memorial Trophy), ruckman Alex Lee took home an award for being the most improved (Syd Brook Trophy) and young defender Connor Young was bestowed the Rising Star award (Brad Green Trophy)
The Tony Young (senior) Medal for the club’s development league best and fairest went to Jaidyn Harris from promising ruckman Cody Lowe.
More than 100 people were in attendance at the UTAS Stadium Function Centre to cap off a year that yielded North its third State League flag in four seasons.
