The 20-year-old, who plays for Launceston City and University of Tasmania, has been selected in the national indoor development team that flies to Pennsylvania on Friday for eight matches against its American counterparts.
The call-up follows the former Riverside Primary, High and Launceston College student’s involvement with the Australian country outdoor team last year.
“I’m stoked to be getting more experience and play with different girls and coach,” said Pearson, who was selected after playing for Tasmania at national champs in Woolongong.
“Indoor is much smaller and faster games with less people on the field and I will be a lot more involved and marking players as well as just saving goals
“I prefer indoor because I am more involved. It’s heaps better and a lot more happens. Hopefully I can stay in this development team, get more exposure and move up into the world cup squad in the next couple of years.”
