The on-the-go street library was approved by Meander Valley Council after a suggestion from Hadspen resident Nikayla Jones.
“I‘m an avid reader, but as a new mother to twin girls it was difficult to get to the library,” she said.
“I found myself going for many walks and a street library was a great solution.
“I approached the council with the concept and now we can go for a walk and pick up a book to read along the way”.
The structure was built by Mrs Jones herself, with the help of the Hadspen Lions Club and Optimo Awnings.
