Winning coach Ray Burgess could not fault his team, but admits the new northern conference format separates the haves from the have nots.
“They lost a little bit of structure, but we just kept at them and put relentless pressure on,” Burgess said.
“So it’s a bit unfortunate at the present moment in the north that us and Devonport are dominant.”
“Launceston and Burnie are just struggling a bit.
“So, once we threw it out wide, we just really went riot with everything, so I was really pleased with that.”
The Bees did cross the line in the first half, but it had no effect on the Vikings slick backline that scored quicker than a point a minute.
Launceston coach Nic Sotiriou said settling on a starting lineup for the past month is continuing to hurt his side’s continuity.
“We’re building a squad, but we can get them together at the same time,” he said.
