There will be strong groovy vibes at the Greenwood Bar this weekend as BAD BEEF team up with DUBLO for a good time and good tunes. The gig will kick off in Launceston from 9pm on Saturday. Entry is $15 on the door.
In a change of pace, DEAD LETTER CIRCUS are in town on Saturday night. The band has come to Launceston a special leg of its current Australian tour. You can see them at Club 54 with local supports Cardinels, from 8pm. Tickets are available online through Oztix, for $39.80.
And down south, it’s a return to the 90s with KILLING HEIDI. The Weir band will play at The Goods Shed on Saturday night, to celebrate the band’s 20th anniversary. Tickets are available online until Friday afternoon, through Moshtix for $40, plus booking fees.
Looking ahead, there’s a swag of good music coming our way. On May 20, it’s metal night at Launceston’s Greenwood Bar. GAPE will be launching their second album Exploit the Moist, with support from the likes of Zero Degrees Freedom, Interitum, and Nuclear Winter. The gig kicks off from 8pm, and entry is $8.
June is looking to be a solid month of music as well, with a bunch of bands from across all genres.
Melbourne band CABLE TIES will be in the state in June to launch their self-titled album. The Poison City Records three-piece will be debuting the album at the Brisbane Hotel in Hobart. You can catch the gig on June 16, from 10pm. Their album will be released on May 26.
For those music buffs around, the ultimate test is coming. ROCKWIZ LIVE is hitting the road, and will drop by the Princess Theatre in Launceston in June. The night will be hosted by Julia Zemiro, with brains trust flair from Brian Nankervis. Tickets for the event are on sale now at purchase.tickets.com, for $89. The event is on June 18.
Australian hip-hop legends BLISS n ESO will be in Launceston in July for their Off The Grid tour. They’re touring in support of their latest album of the same name. They’ll be at Club 54 on July 21. Tickets are on sale for $59.90 through Oztix.
