Deloraine High School finished on top of the points table at the Northern High Schools Sports Association’s division 3 swimming carnival at Launceston Aquatic on Tuesday.

About 150 swimmers took part in the carnival representing Deloraine High, Brooks High, Star of the Sea, Campbell Town, Winnaleah and Newstead Christian School.
Two records were broken on the day by the Star of the Sea girls senior medley relay team with a time of 1:17.56 and in the girls’ junior butterfly by Danielle Long, of Star of the Sea, in 16.21.
In the junior shield, Deloraine finished on 332 points, Star of the Sea was second on 288, Brooks on 282, Campbell Town 195 and Winnaleah and NCS tied on 129.
In the senior shield, Deloraine finished on 425, from Campbell Town 369, Star of the Sea 354, Brooks 353, NCS 205 and Winnaleah 73.
Deloraine also topped the aggregate shield with 757 points from Star of the Sea 642, Brooks 635, Campbell Town 564, NCS 334 and Winnaleah 202.
