The 24-year-old, originally from Devonport, has been an absentee from the Kangaroos’ opening two JLT Series contests due to January knee surgery.
“It is more about getting the run in my legs now and getting through all my rehab so when I do get out there I don’t hurt myself again,’’ Brown said in Hobart as part of North Melbourne’s Community Camp.
“That is going really well and I’m progressing really positively and the physios and the doctors are really happy with how I am going, when I do get out there I know I will be 100 percent ready to go.”
Brown on Tuesday was announced as the face of the Next Generation Schools Program, a partnership between North Melbourne and AFL Tasmania.
It is hoped the program will reach 80 per cent of schools in Tasmania.
