At close of entries on Monday, the organisers of next weekend’s three-day Historic race meeting at Baskerville had received a total of 240 entries made up of 180 cars and 60 motor cycles.

There will be races for under and over 500cc motor cycles.
There’ll also be four different regularity groups for cars as well as races for Sports cars, Muscle cars, Group Nb and Nc Historic Touring cars, Formula Libre and Invited and Production Sports cars.
Practice and qualifying will be run on Friday, followed by 51 events on Saturday and Sunday with a fundraising auction after racing on Saturday and trophy presentation after racing on Sunday.
On Friday night there will be a function at Hadley’s Hotel commencing at 7pm where I will be interviewing special guests Bruce Gowans, Andrew Miedecke, Greg Crick and Mark McLaughlin.
A special feature of the weekend will be the appearance of Bruce Gowans in his restored V8 powered Toyota Celica that proved so successful in the past.
