Grand finals played in senior and junior competitions last weekend witnessed high standards of both competitiveness and sportsmanship.
Hockey Tasmania Northern competitions convenor David Hickman highlighted the under-16 boys finalists Tamar and Queechy opting to share their title after a hard-fought 1-1 draw.
“All the under-age matches were played with tremendous spirit,” he said. “The camaraderie shown across these two teams was a sight to see and bodes well for the future engagement of these players and their parents and supporters in our sport.”
