The brains behind the monthly comedy night are taking over the Princess Theatre with the inaugural Fresh Comedy Gala.
The event will take place on Saturday, October 29, from 8pm.
It will feature some of Fresh Comedy’s favourite acts: Luke McGregor, Randy the puppet, and Matt Okine.
As well as the ring-ins, there will be a smorgasboard of Tasmanian talent, including Gavin Baskerville, Emergency Poncho, and Kerri Gay.
And if that’s not enough for you, Okine (who you might know from his breakfast slot on Triple J) will be spinning a DJ set at an after party at the Royal Oak.
Freshy Comedy producer and host Stewart Bell said the room had a “great reputation” around the country, thanks to the warm and supportive atmosphere that Launceston’s audiences created.
“We’re super excited to be able to bring acts of this calibre to Tasmania for this one night only event,” Bell said.
“They are also some of our favorite acts and importantly they will be performing feature length sets for our audience.
“It is an incredibly strong line up and promises to be one of the biggest comedy events Launceston has ever seen.”
Tickets for the gala are on sale from Monday, July 11, through the Princess Theatre in person, by phone or on the Theatre North website.
Tickets for the after party will go on sale separately.
