Miller was the only Tasmanian picked in Netball Australia’s combined state institutes and academies of sport team that will contest August’s International series against the Australian 20 and under squad and teams from New Zealand and England at the Centre of Excellence in Canberra.
The SIS-SAS team will be coached by Julie Hoornweg, Netball Tasmania high performance manager and former premiership coach of the Melbourne Vixens.
“Some of the athletes are eligible for selection for next year’s Netball World Youth Cup squad and could use this tournament to push their case for inclusion in that squad,” Netball Australia’s high performance pathway general manager Stacey West said.
“We’re eager to see how these athletes perform in a competitive international environment. This is valuable experience for them.”
The series will be played from August 11-14.
