Four of Tasmania’s best have just returned from the inaugural Oceania Cup in Noumea, New Caledonia.
Kate Jones, 16, placed second in the individual 16-17 years female kumite (sparring) division and T’Meika Knapp, 34, beat fellow Tasmanian Sarah Marjoniemi to bronze in the individual senior open kumite.
Angus Jones, 13, came seventh in his kata and kumite divisions, after winning three bouts in a division of thirty competitors.
All will be using the championships as preparations for the national titles in Waverely, Victoria, in August.
