While there are some novelty events there will still be some serious racing particularly for the juniors who have yet to decide the winner of the speedway series.
With this prestigious award still up for grabs the junior sedan drivers will be fighting like a bag of cats to win it.
Just to keep everyone entertained the juniors will jump out of the drivers’ seats and let their mums take over racing duties for the mothers’ race.
Street stock racing has been intense this year and their final race will have all the big guns going all out to claim bragging rights over the long winter.
They will be taking several passengers including some well-known local identities and staff from the track to show them a different perspective on racing.
There will also be a ladies’ race for the street stocks with a dozen entries and several regional rivalries already being touted.
There will also be wingless sprints and the return of ramp racing.
The first ramp race was held over Easter.
Although only three cars competed it was absolutely hilarious.
With eight cars entered to take flight over the jumps on Saturday, it will no doubt be massively entertaining.
Last time out the cars all cars had fuel problems with the fuel surging upon landing from the jumps.
Many have come up with some innovative solutions to rectify this problem.
The commentary team have entered a car and they are desperately trying to perfect some in-car commentary which will no doubt keep the crowd laughing.
To add to the excitement, the crew from WSM freestyle motocross will be performing tricks and stunts over a 30-metre gap flying some 15m high in the air.
Some of the tricks will include rock solids, dead-bodies, Hart attacks (named after Pink’s husband and freestyler Carey Hart) and if conditions are right one or two of the riders will attempt some back flips!
They will also be joined by mini FMX riders doing similar stunts on smaller bikes as well as the BMX team doing multiple tricks and stunts.
Gates open at midday and on track action begins at 2pm so that it is all over before it gets too cold later in the evening.
