Cricket Australia has appointed former South Launceston cricketer Adam Griffith as national bowling coach for the tour of the West Indies.

Griffith played 50 first-class matches and 54 list A matches for his state before retiring in 2011 and taking up the role of bowling coach with West Australia.
“It’s a credit to the standard of our state coaching system to be able to offer these opportunities to young coaches and I am sure both Adam and the players will benefit greatly from this experience,” Darren Lehmann said.
Griffith said he looking forward to working with the national team.
“The opportunity to work with Australia’s premium bowlers is incredibly exciting.
“The West Indies and South Africa have some of the most destructive batters in the world and playing them in Caribbean conditions will be a great challenge.”
