It is a song that defines where he is at the moment musically, and its contents also have a personal touch.
"It is an old-soul, moody, dark, cinematic song is where I am at at the moment, and this really showcases that sound," Bain told X-static.
"The song is about giving your all to someone and the risks involved giving that.
"It is a very personal story for me, but I don't like to talk about that much, so people can connect with it in their own way.
"It is something that is easy to relate to and it has got a really good response.
"The whole idea of writing music and being an artist is to make people feel something, so it means a lot if somebody does feel something from it.
"We've had people say it's an epic song, which is great, because that's what I am going for."
Bain will share the single at Hobart's Republic Bar on Thursday and The Royal Oak in Launceston on Friday.
He will play as part of a trio with bass player Adam Springhetti (bass) and drummer Andy Pearson, with Bain playing keyboard and guitar.
"The show will just have a whole lot of soul," Bain said.
"We will just be playing different types of soul, including motown, funk and dark and moody stuff, with some rock stuff as well.
"There's some R'n'B, hip-hop sounds as well, everything around soul music.
"I just can't wait to get back to Tasmania, as Tassie is one of my favourite players.
"I am really looking to playing there."
Bain's music is available from iTunes, Bandcamp and from Triple J unearthered.
