Ensuring they put on the best show they can for their fans, guitarist Trevor Reilly explained ahead of the group's trip to Hobart next month.
"We have had new members in the band over the past decade, which has been the most literal change," Reilly said.
"Whenever you have that, it is like a breath of fresh air.
"I think we have gotten tighter as a band just by playing so much, and I do think we have gotten faster.
"We have always played hard, and the core of the band and everything we have always been about has always been the fans, and we have always tried to push ourselves to be the best that we can, to write the best songs that we can and to never let our fans down."
The one thing that Reilly says keeps them going is that "more and more kids" show up to their shows each year.
This is a sign their music, and the punk-rock scene, is one that still has life.
A Wilhelm Scream will play at Hobart's The Brisbane Hotel on Saturday, May 2, as part of their latest run of Australian shows, and are hoping for a "bonkers" show.
At the minimum, you know they will be putting in that effort.
"We are not religious people, but it is a blessing to be able to do what we do," Reilly said.
"We go out there and we feel very fortunate to be able to do what we do and we always just aim to go out there and have a good time, and really, you can't wipe the smiles off our faces when we are out there.
"It is real and genuine for us, and it doesn't matter if it is 15 people at the show or 500, we will just be having the best time, as that hour that we play on stage, it really is the best hour of the day and why we do what we do.
"I know we will definitely have a good time and we have been told it is infectious."
Reilly said while in Hobart they would be playing a lot of material of their most recent album Partycrasher, as well as some new tracks.
