The colt is by 2010 Melbourne Cup winner Americain from three-time Tasmanian broodmare of the year La Quita.
He is a half-brother to Tasmania's top galloper, Geegees Blackflash, a winner of 19 races and $965,800.
Owner-breeder Paul Geard was ecstatic to get another colt foal from La Quita after three fillies in a row.
"My children asked me today what I wanted for Father's Day and I told them I've already been given the best present possible," he said.
The colt is the 15th Americain foal to be born in Australia this season.
This is the stallion's first crop since retiring from the racetrack after a career that netted almost $6 million in stakemoney.
Americain stands at Swettenham Stud in Victoria and his service fee this year is $13,750.
Geard has bred four previous foals from La Quita and they have all been winners.
As well as Geegees Blackflash, they have been Gee Gee's La Quita (6 wins), Geegees Velvet (3 wins) and Geegees Goldengirl (1 win).
The mare also had one foal before coming to Tasmania, a filly called Beulah Belle who has won in Victoria.
La Quita has been voted Tasmania's broodmare of the year for the past three seasons in a row.
Geard was particularly keen to get another colt foal as he has long-term breeding ambitions.
With Geegees Blackflash being a gelding, he wanted a colt out of La Quita that he can eventually stand as a stallion.
