OLD Launcestonians ended the Tamar Cats season with a convincing 54-point victory in the NTFA division 2 elimination final at Perth yesterday.

The Cats led by two points at quarter-time with both teams kicking three goals in the opening quarter.
But the Blues got the jump in the second booting six goals to one to open up a 31-point lead at half-time.
They maintained control in the second half extending their lead and were never threatened as they ran out winners, 15.14 (104) to 6.14 (50).
Beau Hills starred up forward for OLs with six goals while Cats’ spearhead David Wickham booted four for his side bringing up his century for the season.
Experienced former Launceston premiership player Sam O’Keefe led the way for OLs with a best-on-ground performance with good support from Ethan Miller, Matthew Spohn, Lucas Shaw, Gene Savage and Hills.
Luke Brockman was the Cats’ best player with Aiden Morris, Matthew Nicholson and Jacob Parker all good contributors.
Old Launcestonians will now meet Prospect in next week’s first semi-final at Evandale on Sunday.
St Pats and Old Scotch will clash in the second semi-final on Saturday at Youngtown.
In yesterday’s reserves elimination final, Fingal defeated Uni-Mowbray in a thriller, 15.10 (100) to 14.13 (97).
