Groom defeated Launceston's Ross Marzetti in his semi-final yesterday winning 6-4, 6-1.
Johnstone defeated the third seed Bradley Dunn in his semi-final, 6-2, 6-1.
Tournament No.?th1 seed Jack Kilner was defeated in the preliminary rounds by Andrew Roberts who then went down to Marzetti.
In the open women's competition, Hobart's Sanyukta Singh defeated the No.?th1 seed Vanessa Dobson in one semi-final winning 2-6, 7-5, 6-3.
She will meet the No.?th2 seed in Hobart's Janae Smith in today's final.
Smith easily accounted for Eliane Fader in the other semi-final 6-1, 6-0.
In the boys' 12 singles the No.?th1 Samuel Elliston-Buckley and No.?th2 seed Sam Whitehead in will meet in today's final.
The boys' 14 final will see No.?th1 seed Henry Ostler, of Leg 1?Hobart, take on Ulverstone No.?th2 seed Ben Cawston.
In the girls' 16 singles, Erin Fazackerley defeated the No.?th1 seed Fader in the quarter finals, 4-6, 6-0, 6-0.
She will meet No.?th4 seed Hannah Coombe, of Hobart, in her semi-final today while Jessica Fowler will take on Singh.
