I worked for the State Government in a Policing role and built up operational experience with the WA Police Service, AFP, NCA, and Fisheries Dept.
During this time I was awarded an Advanced Diploma in Business Management and a Diploma in Policing, along with various other internal qualifications.
After a voluntary resignation, I managed numerous small businesses and am fully aware of and conversant with the difficulties and challenges that small business owners face.
At Australian Christians:
• We believe all people matter
• We believe our future is our children
I like to focus on the positives, what we can build on.
I believe this starts with our families, building up of the traditional role of marriage between husband and wife, promoting positive and meaningful education for our children, the reform of anti-discrimination laws, to encourage and foster our faith based schooling system, and ensuring there is much needed support for expectant mothers and seriously ill or even terminally ill people.
From a local perspective, we need to promote small business, growth and development opportunities, not curb them. This would then create job opportunities. A dormant, stagnant Tasmania will never be an attraction for its residents or for visiting tourists.
I love the word INTEGRITY, and think it relates well to a political role.
This word means, “The quality of being honest and having strong moral principles, the state of being whole and undivided.” That is how I would strive to serve!
