THE state men's lawn bowls triples championship continued at the Devonport Bowls Club yesterday with the quarter and semi-finals decided.

In the morning quarter-final, the Latrobe team, skipped by Rodney Horton, won its way through to the semis with victory over John Sutcliffe's team.
Horton's team continued its success defeating Penguin's Adam White in the semi-final to qualify for the final, 26-13, over 21 ends.
In the other semi-final Devonport's Tim Douce beat Greg Williamson 18-14.
Douce and Horton will face off in the grand final from 9.30am today.
In the state women's championships at Spreyton, sectional play was completed in the pairs competition yesterday.
Sandy Bay's Yvonne and Peri Buckley will play Latrobe's Mary Beaumont and Rosny Park's Judy Reeve in the first quarter-final today.
Sandy Bay's Christine Dowl and Rosny's Debbie Lee will meet the Invermay pair of Rebecca Van Asch and Vicki Winley.
The third quarter-final will see Trevallyn's Rae Simpson and East Launceston Lyn Quarrell take on Derwent's Bree Nabb and Maureen Zoon.
Penguin pair Jenny Redshaw and Karen Redman will play Southerners Lyn Triffitt and Jeanette Lane in the fourth quarter-final.
The semi-finals in the state women's fours will be held this morning from 9.30am with Carol Bannister's Sandy Bay team taking on Lyn Triffitt's Southern composite team and Van Asch's composite team taking on Maggie Campbell's Kings Meadows team.
Those semis will be followed by the women's pairs quarter and semi-finals in the afternoon.
The finals of the women's fours and pairs will be decided tomorrow.
On a side note, Gaylene Elsworthy, a member of the Van Asch fours team, was admitted to hospital with appendicitis after playing through the pain on Saturday.
She has been replaced by Vicki Winley.
Eight sections of four took part in the pairs sectional rounds.
