We can maximise these opportunities and competitive advantages, whilst adapting to change.
I am committed to bringing to Braddon:
• The NBN fibre to the premises, which has huge potential for business, health and education.
• Protection and promotion of our spectacular natural and cultural assets – the world-class Tarkine, the beaches, the forests, historic sites and geological features.
• Support for high quality and differentiated products for which our climate and soils are perfectly positioned.
• Continued strong education outcomes secured by a Greens Minister, including developing partnerships between schools and colleges, and investing in the early years through programs like Launching into Learning.
• A permanent ban on SuperTrawlers from our fisheries.
• Accessible and affordable health care services. We need structural reform of health, and we will continue to push for a single funder model and more preventative health investment.
• Greater support for regional tourism. I believe that the region could become an adventure and nature based tourism mecca.
• Support for local communities and businesses in transition to job and wealth creating opportunities in creative, clean and clever industries.
