The West Pine 21-year-old, who came second in both individual and team pursuit at last year's titles, clinched a bronze medal in the Columbian city of Cali yesterday.
In the first ever four-rider, four-kilometre women's team pursuit the Aussie team, which also included Annette Edmondson, of South Australia, and Western Australians Melissa Hoskins and debutante Isabella King, caught their Polish rivals at the three-kilometre mark, before reigning Olympic and world champion and world record holder Great Britain beat Canada to claim the gold medal.
Cure, pictured in Cali with her Tasmanian Institute of Sport coach Matt Gilmore, of Launceston, will contest the individual pursuit today.
